Sushi Iwa began in Apex in June 2011 with a simple idea: bring people together over good food and make every visit feel welcoming.
Over the years, our neighbors have made Iwa part of their lives—a favorite lunch stop, a regular sushi night, a place to celebrate, and a familiar choice when everyone wants something different.

One warm welcome.
The support of our local guests helped our story grow. We opened in Clayton in May 2018, then welcomed Morrisville to the Sushi Iwa community in November 2024.
Each location has its own neighborhood and familiar faces, but the spirit stays the same: a welcoming table, plenty of favorites to explore, and good company to share them with.
